IMEC's
Mission is to serve doctors and nurses in developing countries by
providing them with quality tools to advance the standard of heath care
for their nation's poor. IMEC fulfills its mission by working with
other humanitarian organizations to revitalize existing, impoverished
hospitals in the developing world, with donated surplus medical
equipment and supplies that are acquired, repaired and packaged by
dedicated volunteers.
Founded in 1995, IMEC is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization
that acquires medical equipment and supplies, organizes it into
Complete Medical Suites, and ships it to hospitals and clinics
around the world. Over our 14 years of existence, IMEC has shipped
Complete Medical Suites to over seventy different countries,
revitalizing hundreds of hospitals, and bringing improved medical
care to millions of people.
