Rotary Clubs and IMEC

We at IMEC have enjoyed a long working partnership with Rotary clubs, both here in the United States and around the world. Working together, IMEC and Rotary organizations have been able to bring improved health care to many hospitals in the developing world, allowing local doctors and nurses to treat their patients more effectively, and consequently decreasing maternal, infant and child mortality rates around the world. IMEC makes it easy for Rotary clubs to partner with us to support impoverished communities by bringing our medical equipment programs and agricultural support programs to the people who need them most. IMEC personnel, with experience in completing successful projects with Rotary clubs, are also available for support throughout the entire assessment, fundraising, and delivery process.

We've also just finished developing a workbook for Rotary clubs working with IMEC. It's been designed to help Rotarians like you with the paperwork needed for getting matching grants from RI, Districts, and from other Rotary Clubs, as well as guiding them through the process of doing projects with IMEC. It includes all of the forms needed for the entire process, as well as various other helpful elements.

We've been working on this workbook for some time with help from other Rotary Club members who have experience working with IMEC on international projects, as well as with Rotary International. It's just been approved for distribution to Rotary Clubs by the Executive Committee of the Reach Out To Africa committee, and they have already begun distributing this guidebook to Rotary Clubs all over the world.

We hope that you'll find this workbook helpful and informative. Over the years, IMEC has enjoyed working with many different Rotary Clubs, and we hope that you'll join us in working to improve health care for the world's poor.
